The Ben Roethlisberger Effect Strikes NASCAR…

Scott Riggs(#10-Valvoline Dodge) was injured at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Monday.

While on vacation with his family, Riggs injured both feet while unloading a jet ski over an oyster bed. The injuries required stitches in both of his feet.

Bill Elliott will stand by this weekend at Sonoma should Riggs not be able to practice, qualify or race the Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge Charger.

As things stand today, Riggs will be racing Sunday, according to the team. With Bill Elliott there on a “just-in-case” basis.

“I’m going to Sonoma to race,” Riggs said Wednesday. “It was a freak incident at Myrtle Beach. There was no warning about an oyster bed where we unloaded. We’ll see what happens when I get in the race car. I’m going to do what’s best for the team this weekend.”

Ken Schrader has 4 DNFs this season. He and the Wood Brothers just aren’t gelling like they should be.

Jayski’s All Time Cup Winners List

The cool thing…Kasey Kahne is already at #62 for his career…that’s incredible.

Other things on the list that bother me…Jeff Gordon is 3 wins behind Dale Earnhardt Sr. …and maybe it makes me a bastard, but, here’s hoping that he doesn’t get them.

The official UPS sponsorship announcement for next season is expected on Friday…

Roush is denying that UPS is in line for Greg Biffle’s #16. The Augusta Chronicle is reporting that Ray Everham couldn’t negotiate a deal with Dodge to put UPS on Kasey Kahne’s #9…can you blame Dodge though. Kahne is a gold mine advertising-wise.

HAAS Motorsports Owner Arrested. No word yet on the impact this will have on the Cup #66 and the Busch #00

And more on this story here

To the tune of $20,000,000.00…I see jail in his future.
