The 43 Days of Daytona - 8th Place in 2005

The Top NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Driver Profiles of 2005.

---------------

Rusty Wallace
#2 - Miller Lite

Rusty Wallace had a decent season. He ran good all season even though he didn't have a pole or a win. He ended his career last season and made the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup.

He had 8 Top 5's, 17 Top 10's, no wins, and no poles with winnings of $4,868,980.

His retirement from driving won't be his retirement from the racing community. He has his Busch team running, the #64 Top Flite team. And he is supposedly going to be doing the call on Indy Racing League races this season...possibly as a tryout for being one of the booth voices when ABC/ESPN pick up NASCAR racing next season.

Many of Rusty's fan sites are still operating...2 World Order, Montana's, to name a few.

Rusty ran the 24 Hours of Daytona with Danica Patrick.

Will sponsorship be big enough to allow the team to field a car every week? n/a

Do I think he could go win a championship? n/a

Do I think he could win a race or two and have a good season? n/a
