Par For the Course...
The Bush Justice Department in a truly Nixonian move are opening an investigation into the leak about Bush's illegal domestic spying.
Because, of course, the domestic spying isn't illegal...if no one knows about it.
Pe-shaw!
Now personally, I don't much care if the government wants to look at my email or what I look at online or whatever...but they should still need a warrant...and, show of hands, how hard would it really have been to have gotten a quick quiet warrant to look into whatever they needed to.
Remember, the Founding Fathers intended there to be checks and balances, not the Executive Branch does whatever the hell it wants to.
Did we fail to learn the lessons that Richard Nixon taught us? More and more, I'm afraid that we have.
