American Idol Gets the Gold...Olympics Take Silver...

This is a sad commentary on the American public when something like American Idol draws more viewers than the Olympics.

I've always loved the Olympics. One of my favorite things has been watching the parade of nations in the opening ceremonies.

Sigh...and American Idol is more interesting to my fellow Americans than our best taking on the best from around the world.

Sad.
