Superman Returns

Superman Returns is set up as a direct sequel to the 1980 Christopher Reeve film, Superman II. Think of it as if Superman III and IV never occurred, with as bad as they were ignoring them won't hurt.

They are going with the premise that Superman left earth following the events of Superman II and his return is portrayed in...Superman Returns, coming out this summer.

Instead of starting over and retelling the origin as seems to be the norm, they are jumping right in. I like that. Everyone knows the Superman origin. Let's get it started.

It's past time for Hollywood to try and make us believe a man can fly.
