1981 - 33 Innings, 882 Pitches, 8 hours and 25 minutes,

This is a cool story!

Cal Ripken Jr., Wade Boggs, Joe Morgan...and a long, long, long minor league baseball game in 1981.

I'm surprised they stopped it. It was already an epic. It needed a last chapter. I'm sure they were tired. But if you were playing...well...wouldn't it leave a horrible taste in your mouth to have gone that far, that long, with that much effort, and had to come back and play again another day...and finish the epic in...18 minutes.

Better story if they finish the game that night, under those conditions, with the players on the field.

Too bad there's not video of this game...that would be cool...in edited down form of course...HA!
