NASCAR's new car
The fifth test of the so-called "car of the future" went off with very few hitches.
The car is going to be larger and blockier. It provides more opportunities to have the car be manufacturer specific.
The aerodynamic packages will change significantly from today's feather touch.
One of the test drivers referred to it as being a lot like a '55 Chevy, taller roofline and such.
One of the dings on the old design was that taller drivers were cramped in the cockpit almost to the point of being dangerous. The new design addresses this.
I don't think that a car that lends itself to more bump drafting is a good thing, but cars that aren't so dependent on aerodynamic tweaks will be a good thing.
