That's just wonderful when we start stealing American cultural icons.

Calling a pair of shoes an American cultural icon seems odd to me too. But c'mon, it's the Wizard of Oz.

Be on the lookout for a thief in bright red, shiny slippers. He may be clicking his heels together and chanting out loud. "There's no place like home. There's no place like home."

Maybe he's going to trade them for a full tank of gas.
